The Process
Stepping into this decades-old Italian banquet hall once meant entering a world of heavy dΓ©cor and layered, timeworn details. The design goal was to gently strip back what felt busy while honoring the buildingβs original character. Curved soffits, brick pillars, and the signature chandelier were preserved as architectural touchstones, then paired with new flooring, refined wall colors, quiet wallpapers, and textured installations that introduced a calmer, more contemporary rhythm. A redesigned fireplace, updated lighting, and thoughtful furnishings created soft moments of atmosphere, transforming the lobby into a space that invites guests to settle in rather than pass through.
Function played just as important a role. Seating arrangements were reimagined for conversation; durable, high-use materials ensured longevity; and the office was reshaped into a welcoming workspace for meeting with clients. Simple updates to the bathrooms helped refresh existing finishes, while underutilized storage areas found new life as a host-managed coat room and a dedicated groomβs space. The brideβs room gained a serving counter and updated dΓ©cor, and the venueβs bars were streamlined for improved durability and a cohesive aesthetic.
What emerged is a venue that feels both familiar and newβlighter, more refined, and thoughtfully aligned with how people gather today, without losing the charm of its original era.
